BORN IN THE VOID
THE STORY
IT STARTED IN 2019.
Die In Void was created in Sweden in 2019 by composer, vocalist and producer Mikael Hallgren — born from a desire to create heavy music without being confined to a single corner of metal.
The first incarnation brought together musicians across borders. Guitarist Bill Babcock from the United States and vocalist Jenny K Brennan from Canada joined Mikael alongside bassist Luis Galvez and drummer Robert Sobota.

What began as a musical project soon started developing its own identity — built on the contrast between haunting melodies and crushing guitars, aggression and vulnerability, darkness and light.
In 2020, guitarist Mickael Ljungdahl joined Die In Void, followed by vocalist Tony Hill, who shared vocal duties with Mikael until 2023.
The band continued to evolve. Members changed. The sound grew heavier, more melodic and more personal.
Today, Die In Void is Mikael Hallgren, Anders Martinsgård, Luis Galvez and Robert Sobota.
The people may have changed along the way.
The reason for creating never did.

Die In Void lives in the space between brutality and beauty.
Thunderous riffs and raw aggression collide with haunting melodies, atmospheric textures and moments of fragility. Alternative and nu-metal form the foundation, but the music is never meant to stay inside a single genre.
Influenced by bands such as Imminence, Slipknot, Korn, In Flames, Stone Sour and Staind, Die In Void draws from both the violent and emotional sides of heavy music.
At its core, the music is about contrast.
Light against darkness.
Anger against vulnerability.
Chaos against control.
Beauty and brutality. Darkness and light.

MIKAEL "MICKE" HALLGREN

Founder and creative force behind Die In Void. Micke started the band in 2019 and is the main composer, lyricist and producer behind its music. With roots in keyboards and a passion for both melody and heavy music, he shapes the contrasts at the heart of Die In Void — from haunting atmospheres to raw aggression.
ROBERT "ROBO" SOBOTA
DRUMS
Part of Die In Void since its beginning in 2019, Robo is the force behind the drums. His playing provides the foundation for everything from the band's heavier, aggressive side to its more melodic and atmospheric moments — driving the music forward with power and precision.
ANDERS MARTINGSGÅRD
GUITAR
A guitarist with deep roots in the doom scene, Anders brings years of experience, weight and darkness into the Die In Void sound. Alongside Die In Void, he is currently active with Goddess, Black Solstice and Witches Hunt. His background adds another dimension to the band's heavy riffs, melodic layers and darker atmosphere.
JOSELUIS GALVEZ
BASS
Also part of Die In Void since 2019, Luis provides the low-end foundation beneath the band's sound. His bass connects the weight of the guitars with the movement of the drums, giving Die In Void its depth, pulse and underlying heaviness.
